From the south:
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) to Exit 20 (Saugerties exit). Turn left on Route 212, then take the next right for Route 32 north. Follow Route 32 north for about 6 miles, then stay left to Route 32A for 2 miles towards Hunter and Tannersville. Stay left to take Route 23A west through the village of Palenville.
From the north:
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) to Exit 21 (Catskill exit). Turn left onto Main Street, and then left again to Route 23 east. Use the first exit to take Route 9W south for about 2 miles through the town of Catskill. Stay straight to take Route 23A west.
From Route 23A:
Continue on 23A west into the village of Tannersville and make a left at the only traffic light onto Railroad Avenue/County Road 16 (later becomes Platte Clove road). After approx. 2 miles, turn right onto Elka Park Road towards the Elka Park post office. The entrance to Rota’s driveway is just by the post office.
A word of caution on using GPS or cellular devices: signal in the mountains can be spotty!
